Basket Of Daisies
A new day is dawning
the sun is so warm
still feeling sleepy
I can't help but yawn
Rubbing my eyes
I climb out of bed
walk to the window
scratching my head
Filling my lungs
of air clean 'n fresh
I notice birds sleeping
inside of their nest
Sitting at table
enjoying warm tea
to relish these moment
heart dances with peace
The fragrance of roses
a morning delight
squirrels 'n chipmunks
frolic about
With sky of clear blue
no clouds in sight
face wears a grin
with nature's delight
Pansies 'n violets
o're near wishing well
morning dove choir
on kitchen sill
Butterflies flutter
between rays of sun
play hopscotch in pasture
set chipmunks on run
Sounds waltz around me
of sweet nature songs
lost in the beauty
I reflect, hard and long
A basket of daisies
wink with a smile
beautiful flowers
as delicate as life
Such glorious Blessings
He puts on display
a tapestry of love
to greet me each day
