Christmas Red

When I think of Christmas,
I think of Jesus how He bled,
That's why to me I think,
Of Christmas, as Christmas Red.

Of all the decorations of garland,
And Christmas ornaments so bright,
I like to sit and watch the tree all lit,
As I watch the snow on Christmas night.

To think of all the suffering,
Jesus paid for all my sin,
But willingly did it out of love,
So Heaven's Gates I might enter in.

Christmas is of Jesus Christ,
And of all the heavenly things.
The joy it brings to all who know Him,
Through carols of Christmas that we sing.

When I look outside the window,
Or walking through the snow,
And see a Cardinal bright and red,
It's like Jesus' Blood there all a glow.

I love to see our friends and family,
As they gather all around,
To talk about the year just past,
And all the blessings they have found.

Jesus must always be in Christ..mas,
No other name will fit,
For Christmas starts with Christ,
And Christ's the first thing on our list.

There will be no joy in Christmas,
For those who want it changed,
For it would take out all the meaning,
Of our Savior's Precious Name.

A Christ..mas tree is what it is,
Not a Holiday tree,
And Christmas is the Celebration of Jesus,
Just what it ought to be.

It's such a special time of year,
With Poinsettias red and green,
Garland lacing the stairway,
As lovely as I have seen.

It's something even more special,
To watch the stars on Christmas night,
It brings back all I've read and heard,
How shepherds followed that special Light.

They didn't want to miss that Holy Sight,
As they traveled to Bethlehem,
For that night a Child was born in a manger,
For there was no room in the Inn.

We'll leave Jesus in Christmas,
There forever He will be,
For He is worth far more to us,
Than presents under the tree.

Giving gifts is a way to say,
I love you and God Bless,
For Jesus gave His Blood,
For me and all the rest.
