The White Tailed Eagle
Flying high above us,
Is a bird of great strength and power,
Chosen for our Nation's Emblem,
To show our strength and freedom
As high above it towers.

With outstretched wings far above,
And nesting in the crevices of mountains so high,
Keeping their young safe and free,
From dangers on land and in their sight.

If you've never seen a white tailed eagle,
You have surely missed a lot,
For in the spreading of his wings,
A view for miles he's got.

Powerful and dangerous to his prey,
They try to keep their distance,
For if he should see his daily meal,
They are swooped up in an instant.

There's nothing quite so beautiful,
As an Eagle spreading his wings.
It's like an angel opening up heaven,
To all the heavenly things.

I saw a tiny birds nest in a bush,
Just outside my room,
And thought how small the bird must be,
Compared to the nest where Eagles zoom.

High on a mountain side built in a crevice,
Safe from all predators, a haven for their home,
Swooping over rivers and valleys,
Where all kinds of prey will roam.

An Eagle stands for strength, truth and honor,
And that's what our Country is all about.
We must guard our land with faith in God,
With faith and never doubt.

We can do whatever we must,
If God is by our side,
Protecting us and guiding us,
Our faith we must never hide.

As an Eagle will search to feed,
And protect his precious young,
So does our men and women fight in war,
To protect our freedom until it's won.

We show the Eagle strong with piercing eyes,
On buildings tall and small,
In our homes and flying high,
As an Emblem of Freedom to us all.

We show honor and respect,
For both our Flag and Country too,
When ever our Anthem is played,
Hands over heart as our Salute.
