There's
a thundering
about me
And I don't
know what
to do,
Distant
rumbling,
threatens,
railing,
My soul
is raw,
confused.

Drumming
in my heartbeat,
Vibrating
here......To
there,
Exploding,
screaming
louder...
Much more
than I can
bear.

I reach
to stop
my ears,
My heart,
my soul
in pain,
Questions
screaming
through
me,
Dark shadows,
thudding
rain.

Thoughts
are swirling
o'er me,
Drawing,
as they
flee,
Confusion,
hope, then
horror,
Revolving
constantly.

I swipe
at tears,
the blinding,
Gasp......Reach,
to plead
on high,
"Oh God,
speak within
the terror,
Save me
or I die..."

....And
then, the
thrashing
eases
I see a
flash of
light,
God's promises
assuring
That all
will be
alright.

I cannot
change the
outcomes
But, trust,
I always
can,
Give up
the struggle,
panic,
The need
to understand.

I'll choose
to have
a child-like
faith,
Believe
God's in
control,
That He
cares about
the details,
Each moment,
His to hold.

I do not
need to
know just
why
Things happen
as they
do,
But, I can
trust He
loves me
still
And all
He plans
is good.

Thus, e'er
the thunder
roaring,
True peace
will guard
me yet,
Within the
love and
power of
God
My heart
will be
at rest.

In our lives
there comes
the grief
and
pain, as
sure as
comes the
storm and
rain;
just know
The One
who holds
the plan:
e'er holds
you in His
hand.
Peace I
leave with
you;
My peace
I give you.
I do not
give to
you, as
the world
gives.
Do not let
your hearts
be troubled
and do not
be afraid.
John 14:27
