Sweet Little Jesus Boy

Sweet Little Jesus Boy was born for,
All the world shining His Light,
In the darkness Everlastingly,
Love's Salvation day or night.

An angel appeared before Mary,
Telling her she would give Birth,
To God's Son to Name Him Jesus ~Yes,
He was born Saviour of Earth.

Mary and Joseph married soon there,
After journeying their way,
To Bethlehem finding no room at,
The Inn to rest, even stay.

With camels, donkeys in a stable,
No where to lay His head sleep,
Sweet little Holy Child was born in,
Humility among sheep.

Mary wrapped Jesus in swaddling clothes,
Laid in a manger of hay,
So tired riding on the back of,
A donkey day after day.

God's angels were singing in the sky,
Lit by Heaven's Light, "Today,
Was born the Saviour, Christ the Lord Who,
Came to save, take sins away."

O Holy Night, the Lord's Glory shone,
God's Holy Star to adorn,
Heavenly Hosts Proclaiming His Name,
Sweet Little Jesus Boy's born.

About that hour shepherds tending their sheep,
Overlooking Bethlehem,
Saw the Shining Light while angels gave,
The Good News thus blessing them.

Shepherds filled with joy seeing Jesus,
Kneeling in worship they told,
Mary and Joseph of angels and,
The Brightest Light to behold.

And Wise Men knew studying scrolls when,
Special stars appeared it meant,
A new ruler was born to follow,
To seek that very moment.

Far in the East Wise Men watched the Star,
Shining in the sky guiding,
Them to where the King of Jews was born,
Love, giving gifts abiding.

A long time ago He was born in,
A Manger but He longs to,
Be born in your heart today, love Him,
Let Him in, let Him save you.

Sweet Little Jesus Boy was born for,
All the world shining His Light,
