Jolly Saint Nick

Santa is such a busy guy,
He rushes around to fill his sleigh,
On Christmas Eve he’s riding high,
Children are waiting for Christmas Day.

He must not be late for Christmas morn,
There would be no toys,
Disappointment would be on all the faces,
Of all those girls and boys.

But he has never once been late,
Even when the snow is deep,
For he is snug and warm in his red suit,
And warm lined boots are on his feet.

You know Santa’s from the North Pole,
So cold to Santa is nothing new,
He stays inside making toys most the time,
The toys he makes for you.

They are painted red and green,
Or whatever color is best,
A wagon may be red,
Or A doll in a yellow dress.

Santa has Elves for helpers,
And they really love their work,
They work for many hours every day,
So Christmas morning no one will be hurt.

There are lots of children in this world,
And each request a toy,
Maybe a doll for some of the girls,
And a wagon for a boy.

Whatever Santa brings it's always fun to see,
Wrapped in red and green with colored ribbons,
But that's not all that Christmas is about,
With love the gifts must be given.

The Blood that stained the Old Rugged Cross,
Was the greatest Gift that I've received,
For it was given in love for me,
When Jesus died upon that tree.

Christmas still has its place,
When we give gifts in love,
For the greatest Gift of all,
Was sent from God Above.

When I think of Christmas colors,
Such as our green Christmas Tree,
And the Ornaments of red,
As the Blood He shed for me.

God wants His Children to be happy,
To enjoy life for others to see,
Some might say being a Christian,
Would be too dull for me.

There is no life so happy,
As being a child of His,
With freedom from despair,
And a life of joy and bliss.

So enjoy your Christmas Tree and Holly,
And Garland on the stairs,
With Red Berries to brighten the room,
Remembering why they're there.
