Love's Symphony

Today, I heard our music play
And thought of you, just as I like to do,
And before another minute passed I knew
I had to share this card with you.

To thank you for that music's joy
For the love in you that shines,
I could never be more glad
God chose you to be mine.

You infused my life with tuneful sound,
Rich harmony in flight,
Filled my mind, with sweet refrain
To overflow my heart with light.

Your calming presence was euphonic
To wipe away my tears,
Orchestrating all your strength
To calm my childhood fears.

My heart feels only gratitude
For all your daily care,
Your commitment to life's ballad
Was always gently there.

You stood on high to pass the baton,
The life of you, to me
To show me goodness of our God,
Then, with wisdom set me free.

I see now, you're delighting in
The song, you put in me, respond-
As I carry you, concordantly,
Your life, in me, belongs.

That means you are for always,
In me each note, you live,
Of heart and time and wondrous love
Your life is mine, to give.

I'm glad of how you played each bar
Eternal love to know,
In sharing of your Father love,
A forever theme you've shown.

For that's the very greatest gift
To me, that you could give,
As you cared enough to sing-
That I will ever live.

You gave a Daddy's loving song
For every hill I climbed,
I thank God for the special Dad
Always, would be mine.

The only music I will hear today
Is your love, within my heart,
To proclaim your very best
The man of God you are.

Because you are so special
The only sonnet I can play,
Is for a Father's day, most blessed
This, I sincerely pray.

Thank you for your song of life
For the years we've had together,
For giving me love's symphony..
You are my Number One.... forever.
